Back to form - best visit since it changed hands. Not sure about the new bar layout but pub is still in a wonderful location and the food was decent.

We chose to stay on the campsite behind the pub due to its location and the ease of getting to Yeovil Hospital for an appointment. After waiting for a bus that didn't arrive Richard very kindly offered to drop us at the hospital. We cannot begin to say how grateful we were for this. In the evening we popped into the pub for something to eat and drink and everything was lovely (including all the gorgeous dogs). It is a lovely pub with amazing hospitality and food. We will return, thank you Rose & Richard. Food & drinks: Can thoroughly recommend the Chicken Burger with the gorgeous ginger sauce!

We stayed on the adjoining Campsite and had a couple of excellent nights inside the Masons Arms. The staff were highly helpful and accommodating. Both the food and drinks menus were outstanding. We have already been back for a lunch after this trip and the service is still exceptional. It is a dog friendly pub which may put some people off but all the animals we encountered were on leads and very well behaved, i wont see this as a reason not to try the fantastic village pub. I would highly recommend a visit. A+

Nestled in a beautiful village, the pub has a lovely atmosphere. My ratings for the rooms is for our 1 night stay on the pub's campsite and its facilities - great! Friendly staff, and great service 👍🏻

Lovely, quaint pub. Very clean and staff were kind and helpful. Large free car park. However, it is quite snug so not the best place to bring a large group of people. We had a group of 10+ and we were sat on two separate tables as they did not have space for a long table. We were not impressed by the food either. Very hit and miss. Their dessert menu also has an apple and elderflower cake, but this is actually a flapjack - just as a heads up as myself and another in my party were disappointed by the false advertising.

Sunday lunch was not good. Had to send the first meals back as they were cold. Quite a long wait for replacements and they were overcooked. Veggies definitely tasted as though they'd been pre-cooked and re-heated, the roast potatoes were enormous and very difficult to cut as the outsides were rock hard, again tasted re-heated. Didn't stay for dessert. Heard other diners passing similar comments. Such a shame, the staff were lovely

We stayed 3 nights on the campsite just behind the pub. Small but nicely laid out with very good facilities, very clean and well looked after. The pub is a real bonus being on your doorstep! Great food and good choice. Staff very welcoming and helpful. I would thoroughly recommend this place. Thank you to all the staff for making our stay such a pleasant one! I forgot to mention, this pub is very dog friendly! 🐕

Stayed at The Masons Arms campsite during a motorbike weekend with some friends. Online booking was simple and easy, called up to confirm the pitch was large enough for our 3 small tents (all 2 man size) and told pitches were suitable sizing. Arrived after a wet and windy ride through storm Antoni. The staff were welcoming and friendly and were able to book us in for a meal that night even though it was a busy Saturday night for them. The facilities were perfect. Campsite right next to the shower and toilet block which was clean and a welcome sight after a cold and wet ride on the motorbike. Unfortunately one of the groups tent had leaked the night before at the previous campsite and so his sleeping bag was drenched, after speaking to the duty manager (didn’t catch her name but had pink and blue hair) asked if they had a drier on site we could possibly use, none available but called the landlady who lives nearby and arranged for it to be taken there and was dried for him. A 3 course meal that evening was devoured after a tiresome day, every dish was delicious, and the portions sizes were spot on (3 rugby lads who enjoy their scran 😆). Beers on tap were great too, plenty of cask beers, cider or larger available, just no Guinness but a minor setback in the grand scheme of things. To top off a great evening enjoying great pub grub and drinks, with the bill was our friends sleeping bag, dry and warm for him to enjoy a decent sleep! Amazing service, and such attentive staff, all were pleasant and happy to help. The breakfast in the morning was spot on, full english with a pot of tea, just the tonic to set us up for the ride back. Would definitely recommend staying here on your travels to or from the west country. An absolute beautiful part of the world and a great pub & campsite to enjoy it! Looking forward to the next motorbike tour and another stay at The Masons Arms! Thanks to all the staff 😁 Food & drinks: Great choice of beers and other drinks. Food was fantastic, especially the rump steak! Plenty of choice for food intolerance folk and veggies. Breakfasts were great and set you up for the day well.

Stayed at the masons arms camping site. Great location for a quiet stay next to a fabulous pub. Very warm welcome when we arrived. The site and pub are very dog friendly. The camp site was very quiet during the day, fabulous for resting and relaxing. The pub food was very good, therefore we ate out most nights. There is a lovely walk, may not be suitable for some as it is quite steep, also a garden centre within walking distance. Only minor negative is the narrow entrance for larger motorhomes, especially if cars are parked opposite. We were fortunate that the parking spaces were empty, therefore only needed two manoeuvres to access and egress. Food & drinks: The pub was excellent with good selection of food and drinks. Also dog friendly.

Lovely stop over at the Masons Arms in our camper. Grass was v. wet and they kindly let us switch to hardstanding. Food and beer in the pub both great, staff were friendly. Campsite facilities were clean and well looked after, will definitely return.
